Psicotropicodelia Music : Your best tropical mind trip.

The first time i listened to Psicotropicodelia Music artist i was very impressed by this "Roboante" (roaring), eclectic, mental constrictive music composition. It not only find place in soundtracks but brainwaves through genres that seems incompatible and this is its peculiarity. You may find Trip-Hop ballads as well as electronic masterpieces filled of semidarkness and evocative vibes.

Just like as the fantastic atmospheres of the Tropic, dense of colors, it find its perfect nature keeping you at different emotional temperatures constricting even to a forced listening. The result of this drumming dialoging is to bring you in a strange and lonely place through a strange and lonely trip with a strange and absolutely unique sounding.

Psicotropicodelia Music is not for all, we have to bind ourselves in the deep, we have to dirt a little of us to appreciate the real message it brings. We can grab a little bit more of our consciousness through this process.

Pixieguts & Cwtch

I consider Pixieguts a real friend (i haven't had any contact in the real world) as opposed as an "internet friends" although this way to discern is a little misleading. Now, who is the one named "internet friend"? It depends on many factors and they are not tech facts. An internet friend is a person who rely into the habit of the web. Am I wrong? It is very rare that this kind of relationship will transmute in a real life situation, the web is too fragmented. This way is a little too distant and unreachable!

Maybe with the aid of the music this gap will be filled, it's one of the reason i continue to maintain this blog. Pixieguts is an Australian artist and vocalist, that i think is the best example on how to conglomerate sonorities to reach a solid state of conjunction. Is not only the first who joined this blog with friend connect, but is almost a very proactive artist , within her collaborations with many artist around the web and non, i suggest you to follow her blog on Jamendo.

I think that her coaction with Dementio13 to lead into the Cwtch project is spatial ..... spatial in the meaning of a 360 degree vision like the expression of this formation. Spatial also means great for someone around. Recently Cwtch Adrian Carter Remixes Say Again reaches Last.FM to witness the evolution of something.

Parallel World.

Demos. What are demos? Demos are basically short scenes, full of visual effects, you can often meet those psychedelic, accompanied if not always by real masterpieces of atmospheric music. Yes, these creations are real programs, mostly made through a programming language capable of generating small pieces of code in terms of Kilobytes. These artists also compete into creating the smallest and the prettiest one in which confluence basically correspond basically to Assembly, The Gathering and the Breakpoint events as basis. This vast world, born from the advent of the firsts 8-bit synthesizers as music, evolved into what is called the Demoscene.

The Demovibes Collective gathers content dedicated especially to soundtracks of these creations with links related to the original demos, that are basically executable files (platform specific), hosted on the legendary Pouet.net site.

These releases need to be kept in great consideration, since these works are also rare contributions, and is a little strange to see we are talking about a parallel world of music.

This is "quality electronic music" as Demovibes Collective states, and can be also reached through the Demovibes Demoscene Radio that is a great complement to this gift, as well as the fulfilled blog/podcast at Demovibes Live, although i think that THE MIXES are more moods related.

Most demos related videos can be found also on YouTube just typing demoscene into the search box, but the feeling and the emotions returned by executing these little pieces of art were and are phenomenal for the not so ancient times like 90's resulting in what someone call: realtime underground digital art, and it's true.

Finally many time has gone. Dealing me through updates, upgrades, operating systems, and a lot. Netaudio.ru seems to be switched to Musica Excentrica, only in Russian language :( , so the link is no more valid nor the free Uniquetunes tracks, we hope to find them again (see related post, Going East). Shanokee - Such Is Life, is now the Sensation Anthem 2001 event version and it's a little bit magical so Shanokee is the focal central point with her voice and presence. What's new. Netlabels. Impressive the amount of good music you can find around. Whose impressed me this round: (Italians, and I'm Italian) Black Era, Fluydo, Fabryka's crew has now its firsts new LP available through the majority internet selling points. Now the Zero 7 site is fully accessible through Macromedia's Flash new versions, I'm happy.

Put your head in something new

Last night listening around, and following the seeds of chill i joined a new community, Noisehead. Driven by the Still conspicuous music i have been able to listen to their tracks. I played about 4/5 times without reaching the boredom, that is a rich result. This phrase could be misleading cause the level of this music is not far to make a paragon to sacred monsters like AIR and Zero 7. I enjoined my self a lot listening to new artists and joining them adding music to the playlist. While i haven't found where to add the whole album of Still to the wishlist, some tracks can be purchased trough Noisehead that gives you an initial account balance, in terms of downloadable tracks. Still featured the great voice of Cathy Battistessa in different chillout compilation and a new track is available too at the same site.

An Ocean of Beauty

In these three past days, starting Monday Above & Beyond presented OceanLab's album, Sirens of the Sea, guided by the fantastic voice of Justine Suissa. A preview is available at their location. From which i have been able to hear is a truly amazing album, and hrough The Above & Beyond podcast (iTunes required) you can also listen to a "natural" version of the Miracle track.

Justine Suissa is the best counterpart into Armin van Bureen's Burned with Desire hit, and i can surely tell you that i started to search for notes she sung the first time i listened to this track. Signs of particular emotions. I think Sirens of the Sea is a masterpiece and is difficult to describe it.
